Application

LF ladle refining furnace is designed for secondary refining of molten steel tapped from primary melting furnaces (EAF or BOF). It can create a slightly positive reducing atmosphere, under which submerged arc heating, argon bubbling stirring, white slag refining, fine alloy trimming and wire feeding processes are performed to realize degassing, desulfurization and inclusion removal of liquid steel, as well as precise control of steel composition and tapping temperature. The furnace also serves as buffer and temperature/composition adjustment station for continuous casting production.

Equipment Composition

Consists of refining transformer, short net circuit, electrode lifting system, ladle lid & lid lifting unit, heating gantry, steel ladle, ladle transport car, wire feeder, argon regulating system, cooling water system, compressed air system, hydraulic system, temperature measuring & sampling unit, automatic charging system, HV power supply system, LV electrical control system and automatic control system.
